Winter: time for the vines to rest

Winter at the vineyard means it's time to nuture the vines and give them a chance to rest. Here at 600m above sea level in the Macedon Ranges it also means crisp, fresh days with everything from glorious blue skies to the occasional dusting of snow!

You can imagine how excited the kids were about the snow! It wasn't great timing for a power cut though ... brrrr!

Another beautiful winter's afternoon at Wilimee.

This little golf buggy has more than paid its way. Not only can it happily cart our family around the vineyard in a resort style way but it tows our netting about and lugs old worn vines out. Our Pellenc mini chainsaw makes light work of removing diseased vines to nuture the vineyard.
