Netting is a bit like wrapping up a present. They’re done and you don’t have to think about them for a bit and with any luck when you unwrap them it’s total joy and pride after a year of nurturing.

It’s that time of year again, on go the nets onto our Pinot Noir block. Verasion is about 20%, but left much longer the birds will have a field day. Hoping we get a nice but be it small crop (due to the hail). Wilimee wines from up Macedon way have been quietly going about their business of producing fine cool climate Pinot & Chardonnay from vines planted back in 1982. The wines have just dropped in the cellars, so if you’re looking for an alternative to the Yarra just for one wine then make it this one !
