Netting is a bit like wrapping up a present. They’re done and you don’t have to think about them for a bit and with any luck when you unwrap them it’s total joy and pride after a year of nurturing.

It’s that time of year again, on go the nets onto our Pinot Noir block. Verasion is about 20%, but left much longer the birds will have a field day. Hoping we get a nice but be it small crop (due to the hail). The morning after a massive storm which brought endless lightening strikes and a fire south of us which lit up the sky a bright orange. Thankfully the heavy rains attended to this along with fire crews. Bright orange sun this morning and an inch of rain.
