We are very excited to now have wines available on our online store.

We have a Chardonnay & Pinot Noir from Ben Ranken at @wilimee_wines , a small family-run vineyard in the Macedon Ranges. Their vines were planted in 1982, making them some of the oldest in the Macedon Ranges and their technique involves using natural wild yeasts and natural malolactic fermentation resulting in really delicious wines.

Wilimee Pinot Noir 2019 is perfectly matched with traditional clothbound cheddars such as Hafod & Bay of Fires, and washed rinds such as Epoisses de Bourgogne & Taleggio.

Wilimee Chardonnay 2018 matches well with mountain cheeses such as Comtè and creamy blues such as Berrys Creek Tarwin Blue.

We will be adding this to the selection cheese friendly with bubbles, beers & gin soon.

Tasting the 2015 Underwater Pinot after putting the 19 vintage underwater. Haven’t tasted this wine in 3 years, am amazed how fresh & vibrant the wine is. Chardonnay buds are about to burst, but interestingly the Pinot buds have only just started to swell, so at least a week behind the Chardy. Looks like we’re about 2 weeks ahead of normal. Today the temperature just got to 20C for the first time since autumn. The coming week looks like a cold one with temperatures down to 9C with chilly mornings & a bit of rain.
